The Words That Run Through My Head:

Who are these kids, and when are their parents coming back?

Middle Age Moms Have Arrived

You may have noticed the column of baby blogs growing fast and furiously. It has finally happened...Most of my friends are pregnant!

For the longest time, my group of friends was a no-kid zone. As you can imagine, a baby-free circle of friends is pretty convenient when you want to plan parties, bunco night, book club parties, camping trips, vacations to Vegas, and just happy hours. Then, I had a baby. Wow, having a baby will sure curtail the merriment. For the past two and a half years of me being pregnant and having Scout, I've been looking at my other friends with no kids, sort of jealous of their freedom.

Now, their freedom is no more. All (except one) of my bestest buddies are pregnant right now: Kamie, Christy, Lisa, Ryann, Chancy, and Lani. I can't wait until they all birth these poopers and we can all get together and commiserate. Although, I'm sure a few will be those women who just sing the praises of motherhood...like "I never knew love like this" and "I've fallen in love all over again." Still, I know that there will be others who can reminisce with me about the good old days before babies, diapers and daycare. I hope we can review it all over a play date and a frozen margarita with a Patron floater, or just a coke zero. Whatever.

p.s. I love Scout, and she is cute, and I'm glad I have her. I am thankful to God that she is healthy and we are blessed.

Don't worry I will never say those cheesy things out loud to anyone. But it made me laugh reading those lines. Can't wait to commiserate!

And one more thing, man your hair grows fast. It is already long again. Jealous.

Middle age! haha
I remember when Mom moved us to WA and then to AZ I told her that she was having a mid life crisis.
She said "mid-life?! I'm only 35!"

Ahh, Christy, you will say things like that! Ro, you're right, sometimes I miss the non-baby freedom. Now I'll be even more tied down! What was I thinking? :)

I will definately say things like that. I mean already I love the fact that I can't drink and plan trips for spring break. And, I agree with Chancy, hair growth is faster...only I am growing it fast on my face. Blog about that to come later.

What is facsinating about that list of women is that YOU were the first one to have a baby! I always thought I would be before you....way to be a trendsetter.

I am thoroughly enjoying reading your "adventures" of motherhood! Ha!! At least "misery" seems to be anticipating company! Hate to tell ya: These are the "easy" years. Mom

Motherhood has turned you to softy land! I must say that I was quite suprised when you first found out that Scout was a girl, I thought to myself, Ro with a girl uhm? But I think you do a fabulous job with Scout, G$ taught you well! Me, I still can't see with a girl, but of course I would want to try it! I love my Jett, he was worth giving up beer for over a year+! Heck, I have only had 5 beer, no more than that!
