Scout's 2nd Birthday

She isn't officially 2 yet, but pretty close. Since we are going to be travelling on her birthday, we decided to have the party early. Scout was a little sick during the night and the morning leading up to the event, but like a party purist, she was able to pull it together and party with her friends. She had a great time, and said things like: presents - cute - ohhhhh -Blue (as in Blue's Clues - her theme) - and sometimes a Thank you.
Everyone in the dining room singing to Scout was a little much for her, but at least it didn't go to tears. Dad was there to blow out the candles.

Scout really enjoyed her friends visiting. From left Georgia, (Scout), Mason, and Miles.

Christy and Robin proudly displayed the newborn Cabbage Patch Kid they just freed from it's box. Scout LOVED this baby. Courtesy of Aunt Sunny Jean :)

My good friend Aimee visited town from Colorado Springs and was able to use her knack with kids to entertain them with the elephant game. Mason and Miles got into catching those butterflies!

Scout received two dolls. And, she carried both of them around all weekend.
The Blue's Clues theme was extensive, even the cake. Sorry she loves Blue.
p.s. Lisa...Scout wore the boots you gave her this am to school!

Man, where does the time go? From the tiny 11 pounder to a precious two-year-old:) Her hair looks absolutely adorable; I think it's probably thicker than mine.
Happy Birthday, Scout!!

I was just remembering the day you girls all came over to visit Charlie and you sat in the big white chair with C lying on your Scout belly. Seems like just yesterday.
