Make Like a Baby and Head Out

Brooke had her 5-week appointment today (she was 5 weeks last Thursday). Scout joined us in her first time attending but not as the patient. Brooke did great and so did Scout. There were no melt downs. Brooke measured almost 12lbs and she's 24inches. She's basically long and skinny; a girl after my own heart.
While waiting for the doctor to come into the room, I took pictures with my phone. I thought she was smiling...maybe....

Scout read books in the room like she had written it herself. The best part of the visit came at the end, when I prodded Scout to tell the doctor what she had been talking about telling him for 2 days:

Scout quietly told the doctor, "There is a baby in my tummy."

Good stuff.

He replied, "I don't think so."
