The Words That Run Through My Head:

Who are these kids, and when are their parents coming back?

I Don't Like To Use Labels

Scout has her ballet recital this Wednesday. I had to "practice" her hair-do on Friday for the group photo shoot. I still need a hair-bun-net and some better bobby pins, but we'll make it happen. As you can tell, the mirror in her room has been a hit. Then, we have a little anphibian fun with mr. toad. She loves bugs, toads, mice, rabbits, chinchillas, etc, etc, etc. Scott encourages all of the critter care adventures.
Oh and I just think it is so funny when people say they want girls, or they want boys. I mean, you get what you get, and they are what you allow them to be.
Everyday is the same yet, new. With each sunset another piece of the parent puzzle is revealed. So far, I have laid together the "sides" of this jigsaw, and they outline the framework for why being a mom/dad is difficult: I am continually challenged to raise these girls to show respect to others; to share; to love unconditionally; to forgive; to say I'm sorry; and to make sure they feel loved, safe, and valued. Whew, I just thought bottles and naps were difficult. I think sleep, food, milk, and potty-training must be the "four-corners" of the parent-jigsaw.

Wow! That IS a FANCY ballet outfit! Tell her Auntie Charlie thinks she looks "fabulous!"

And I agree, just when I thought I had a mastered a moral hurdle with the bug, I see there's another one right after it.
