We've been trying to stay consistent on the bedtime arrangement which is Scout sleeping in her toddler bed, in her room at roughly 8pm. I've even squeezed a nap in there. Last night, Scout's dad saved the day for me and Scout.
I was super tired, so when 8pm rolled around I went and put her in her bed. She immediately threw a fit, even when I offered books or animals. So, I just walked out, shutting the door behind me. She cried and cried. But, I didn't make a move. After about 10 minutes or so, Scott decided to go into her room and check on her. It was all quiet after about 30 seconds. I figured that she was reeling him into her *let's play* and *I'll be cute* antics.
I actually fell asleep while he was in there. When I talked to him next, he said that he just read her a couple of her books, then he started reading his book, and she just fell asleep. I couldn't believe it! AND, she slept in this morning until 7 without ever getting up. She just called me into her room at 7am, and was sitting on the foot of her bed all happy. Awesomeness! Awesome that Scott pulled that off. Awesome that Scout went to bed like that.
So, the crib-2-toddler bed has been well, eventful, but I'm not complaining. I'm thankful that I am not working right now (2 weeks of freedom left) so that I can implement the routine.
Just when you think Scout's out of the woods, we are throwing her to the wolves: SHE STARTS NURSERY SCHOOL ON MONDAY! Pray for all of us, mostly Scott and Scout since he'll be the one dropping her off.
This is a picture of her yesterday after we got out of the pool. Dianne and I bought her this baby doll and stroller, and she absolutely loves it. Scott and I took her to CiCi's pizza last night for dinner where she ate about 47 noodles *hand* dipped in marinara. I think we are rewarding her for being flexible and an all around good 19 month old.

Good Job Dad! That is awesome. She definitely has had to adapt in a short amount of time. Way to hang in there and not give in. :)
Is she still "feeding" the baby with her little index finger? I wasn't sure if she thought she was giving the baby a pacifier or a bottle but when we first got in the car with the new babydoll, Scout had it in her arms and put her little finger in its mouth -- so cute!
WOW! Yay!
That Scout!! She's a "doer" alright. She loves to take care of her babies. And she likes to be "in control" like "someone?" Mom
Awesome!! WAY TO GO!!
